When managing your videos, you may want to undo edits or upload an updated version. The Restore and Replace options make this easy without affecting your analytics, registrations, or repurposing tools.

Did you go live accidentally another time? Fix it with restore.

Restore Video

What it does:
Brings your video back to its original state (before trimming or edits).

Example:
You trimmed the intro of your webinar but later realized you need the full recording again. Restore will bring it back.

Steps to Restore:

  1. Go to the Videos tab on Contrast

  2. Open the video you want to manage

  3. Click the history/versions icon (⟳) on the video player

  4. Find the version you want to restore

  5. Click Restore β†’ your video will revert to its original version

Replace Video

What it does:
Uploads a new version of your video (e.g., an edited webinar) while keeping all event data intact.

Example:
You edited your recording in another tool (e.g., to remove noise, or blur something).

Use Replace to swap in the polished version without losing registrations or analytics.

Steps to Replace:

  1. Go to the Videos tab on Contrast

  2. Select the video you want to update

  3. In the video toolbar, click Replace

  4. Upload the new file.

  5. The video will update, while all settings, analytics, and repurposing options remain the same.
