To make sure everything goes well during your live webinar, we recommend to run a test event if this is your first time on Contrast. In this article we explain you how.

How to run a test event

The easiest way to run a test event is to simply duplicate an existing webinar. Head over to your events. Find the 3-dotted menu on the right hand side and click on duplicate as shown in this screenshot.

You'll now have an extra event that you can use to test the event. To test going live, go into the studio. You can also send this studio link to other people to test it together.

If this is your first time for you or other speaking going into the studio, make sure to give your browser permissions to use your camera and microphone.

Now in the studio go live. The webinar will automatically be recorded.

โ„น๏ธ Keep in mind that every studio link is unique to its own event. That means that the link for your real event is different than the one you just duplicated.

How do I know my test event was a success?

After you've ran your webinar and went live, the recording will automatically appear under videos > replay in Contrast. You can now also test repurposing features.
